Meet the Owners/Directors
Lauren & Stacey

Lauren Beckwith
Lauren’s camp career began at Camp Manitou the summer of 2005 after just graduating from Plymouth State University, when she joined her now husband, Vaughn, to work in Maine. While in college, Lauren was an accomplished collegiate basketball player, captaining her team at Plymouth State University, and earning her degree in Elementary Education.
She and Vaughn continued to spend their summers at Manitou while also working as educators and coaches in New Hampshire. Lauren later earned her Master’s degree in Literacy and Language from Lesley University, sharing her love of reading with her 6th grade students. After almost 20 years in the classroom, she was excited in 2024 to shift gears to the full-time camp world when she became the Associate Director for Camp Manitou.

Although Lauren spent her summers growing up playing travel sports rather than attending overnight camp, she was hooked by the experience. Lauren and Vaughn even got married at Camp Manitou in 2009. As they started a family, and their oldest daughters, Gabby and Bailey, eventually began attending overnight camp at Camp Somerset for Girls, Lauren further realized the power that camp had on a child’s confidence, independence, and overall development. Their youngest, Harper, will enjoy her first overnight camp experience at Camp Eastwood before following her sisters at Camp Somerset.
Prior to becoming Associate Director, Lauren filled many roles at Manitou, managing many logistics as Office Manager, Tutoring Coordinator, Travel Coordinator and most recently Program Director. She is looking forward to bringing her knowledge and passion as an educator, coach, mother, and camp parent to her work as Co-Director of Camp Eastwood alongside Stacey.

Stacey Levy
Stacey was an educator and coach for over 20 years at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She taught Physical Education and Health & Wellness, and coached a variety of sports including soccer, track and field, basketball, and field hockey.
At the University of Vermont, Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a focus on Nutritional Sciences and Athletic Training. While at UVM, she was a three-sport athlete in soccer, indoor track, and outdoor track and field. Upon graduating, Stacey went on to teach at Thayer Academy in Massachusetts while pursuing her education at Boston University, where she earned a Master of Education in Counseling with a specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Counseling.

She began her summer camp journey at Camp Manitou in 2008 as the Sophomore Unit Leader, where her friendship with Lauren and their collaboration started. While still teaching in Colorado, Stacey assisted with the creation of Camp Somerset, which opened in 2018. Before becoming Somerset’s full-time Associate Director in 2022, she held various roles at Camp Somerset, including hiring and managing staff, as well as serving as the Head of Athletics.
She now lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, Corey, a Camp Manitou alumnus, their daughter, Sydney, a long-time Somerset camper, and their son, Jack, who loves being a camper at Manitou.
Together, Lauren and Stacey bring deep experience, strong connection, and a shared passion for camp, making them an exceptional team to guide your child’s first camp experience at Camp Eastwood.
